Do you like our new look & feel?MoBay United - 11 games undefeated!!
Montego Bay United F.C. (MBU) plays Arnett Gardens today at the Catherine Hall Sports Complex at 6 p.m. A win for the home team (MBUFC) will see them through to the end-of-second-round final. MBU has racked up a total of 18 points for the round which ties them in second place with Humble Lion F.C. MoBay United has gone eleven games undefeated.
After coming off a six-nil destruction of Highgate F.C, they had to be content with a 0-0 draw against Reno under tough conditions. The team has scored a total of nine goals in the past three games with only one against.
With an open transfer window, the team has signed six excellent players to bolster the already great crop in stock. National player, Troy Smith, to cover the left full back position, national invitee, Oliver ‘Pal Pal’ Trail to steady the midfield and already with Leon ‘Skillman’ Irving making deft through passes. Jerome Eccleston, another national invitee, to strengthen the back line and former Village and Seba player, Fitzroy Campbell in the said position. With two very explosive forwards Montego Bay’s own Omar Gordon, transferred from Arnett Garden and Horace James transferred from Highgate, are the others who now give the team far more options to it’s already nitro-speed front-line with the likes of Mauricio ‘Savi’ Gordon and Allan Ottey. Adrian Robinson and Jermaine Woozencroft also join the ranks.
Montegonians, football fans and sports-loving people in general are definitely in for a treat this evening, as Montego Bay United is on the verge of making history by not only qualifying for this End-of-Round Final, but will do so in fine style with the continued support and cheers of its fans today for the matches to come.
